AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH. I swear Chan was on the list.i must have goofed and typed over him. He would be in my top 5. Nestor Redondo rounding it out for me. Nino is so phenomenal and stylistic that he stands out as uniquely different. some Nino I adore, other times I am like HMMMMMMM, that is odd! ADDED:Colon is Puerto Rican

Nestor Redondo could easily have made my top 3 but I opted for Leinil Yu, possibly because I was surprised to see his name in the poll, not having known he was from the Phillippines. But Redondo was great
I know Ernie Chan mostly for his long stint as inker over John Buscema's pencils on Conan but I usually liked his own pencil work as well, whenever I saw it.
Tony DeZuniga's style worked better in colour for me than in black and white, because he didn't use a lot of shadows or blacks to give enough depth to the drawing to my taste. In colour, that didn't matter so much, but in b&w it always left me feeling something was lacking in the finished product.
ER Cruz I liked but haven't seen a lot outside a few Shadow issues.
Steve Gan was pretty solid. Not a personal favourite but reliably good.
Sonny Trinidad, I feel much the same.
I like Jerome Opena quite a bit but haven't read much - again, largely because I'm not attracted to the modern superhero comics he works on.

Nestor Redondo (if I could I'd give all three votes to him, one of the all-time greats) Alex Nino (as much for his work on More Than Human as anything else) and Vic Catan (just because his work was very memorable to me) Standout work.

And was it ever published in any form?

Hard for me to choose as favorite, between Redondo and Nino, though I lean more to Redondo's style. I added Gerry Taloac for my third. he made Unknown Soldier truly weird and unique, which is part of what I loved about the book.

That was part of a portfolio titled 'Men, Maiden and Myths', just one plate was Arthurian... here's another from the same set...

I liked Taloac's Unknown Soldier but felt the color muddy's up his work making it harder to look at. Once DC reprinted it in the Showcase black and white editions I quickly grew to appreciate his style much more. The brighter coloring on Hulk helped his inks over Sal Buscema on Hulk and those were nice issues to enjoy.

He was assigned POTA starting with the second film-- Beneath the Planet of the Apes--beginning with issue #7 from April, 1975: ...running until the completion of the final film in the series, Battle for the Planet of the Apes (#28 - January, 1977): According to GCD, Alcala didn't draw all of Battle for the Planet of the Apes, and POTA #24 was his final issue.

Would it be possible to fix the spellings of Alfredo Alcala, Rafael Kayanan, Gerry Talaoc, Francis Manapul and Leinil Francis Yu, or replace "Which 3 reign supreme for you?" with Ernie Chan?
