As for Byrne collage pieces, this image has always stuck with me as a favorite: This one actually is a single drawing, though, not a collage of figures taken from various sources, right?
Love the Buscema piece too. And the Steranko, though some of the characters aren't up to his best work, IMO.

Wonder if this illustration was on Byrne's mind when did the one above? Or maybe even the DC Special featuring Joe Kubert? Two favorites, particularly the Kubert cover. These were the only two DC Specials that actually followed through on what was supposed to be its focus (IIRC): spotlighting the work of one artist.

As far as I know, yes, it's an original drawing. The only issue of Marvel Team-Up I can find starring Howard the Duck is #96 but that story was done by Alan Kupperburg. So has Byrne ever drawn Howard the Duck in any issue of any Marvel title?

I know this was early and that i saw it printed someplace, but i can't remember where. Not Howard, but he also did the Playduck centerfold in another issue.
