I would be either Raisinettes or Reese's Pieces... I don't like either M&Ms or Smarties... at all. Jaw issues too. I've still never had Candy Corn. It didn't seem to make it to this part of Canada when I Trick Or Treated. We did get every kind of Koogle though.
I suppose that poutine-flavored Koogle never caught on, even in Canada.

Years ago, the answer would have been easy, M&M Peanut. But since I was diagnosed with diverticulitis in 2002, I have followed doctor dietary recommendations and avoided eating nuts (among other things), so if the two, I would now have to take plain M&Ms, but I rarely eat M&Ms anymore.
And I agree with those who place Smarties among the candies you got at Halloween from people who couldn't (or wouldn't) spring for "real" candy. Used to hate getting them, and they were among the candies it was almost impossible to trade away for something else. The exchange rate was like 25 Smarties for one fun size bar of regular candy if you could even get that. You might be able to get one of the Hershey's minis for 10 or 15 Smarties, but it was going to be one of the off-flavors not the good ones.

Of course, you're referring to the Mr. Goodbar minis in the bright yellow wrapper, with the peanuts so stale that they tasted like old Play-Doh.

HA! That reminds me of the joke going around my school in the late 70s when the movie Looking for Mr. Goodbar came out and us school age kids having no idea what it was really about would always jokingly ask why anyone would want to find a Mr. Goodbar, let alone go looking for one. -M

I've still never had Candy Corn. I You are not missing anything besides bitter disappointment and a toothache. Plain. Love chocolate. Love peanuts. Can't stand them together. My dad is the same way. My wife is the opposite. PB is good, chocolate is good, together they are divine. If real chocolate bars are top tier and regular sugar candy is the second, I will at least say Smarties are among the better second-tier candy. IMO, the best is Starbust, and among the worst are wannabe Starburt-imposters Now and Laters. Boring stale wax!

Peanuts.
Not a big fan of peppermint patties, though.

I suppose that poutine-flavored Koogle never caught on, even in Canada. I tried to think of some pun I might make about Vladimir Poutine but then thought I don't want to get political! Anyway, Lay's poutine flavored potato chips are truly great, stupefiant! I wish they still made the curry ones though, I miss those a lot... have to get the Japanese brand and they cost a lot. I know we get laughed at for Hawaiian pizza and ketchup flavor chips being popular in Canada but there's nowt wrong wi' poutine flavor, au certainment!

If I have to pick, I guess plain. But I'd rather have crispy or peanut butter if I have to have M&Ms. Worst candy.

Peanut, definitely. The plain M&M candy is good, but peanuts are real food. Candy + real food is a great combination.

Peanuts/peanut butter with chocolate is about the only way I eat chocolate. Sorry Prince Hal lol We will always be friends anyway. I am a forgiving man. I am not sure I dare mention this... A peanut butter sandwich with peppermint-flavoured chocolate chips in it is probably the best thing I ever tasted. It's at a " I'm going to hell for gluttony over this and I don't even care" level of scrumptiousness.
