Thanks for posting this @mrp. I'll add my own best wishes (for whatever that's worth).
I loved Cowan's version of the Question, and I consider his warrior-philosopher to be the definitive version of the character, not Dikto's Randian thug. It was also my first introduction to truly mature comics; i.e. 'mature' not just in terms of sexual and violent content, but 'mature' in terms of themes explores. And it was the only comic I know that came with a suggested reading list for each issue, if you wanted to explore the philosophical themes further.
Get well soon Denys.

Update from Bill S...
Glad to hear he is already on the road to recovery. Under current circumstances, you never want to hear anyone is going to the ER, so I am glad it is something that wasn't life threatening after all.

Yeah, The Question series was a big part of me starting to branch out and seek out comics which explored the possibilities of the medium. It was babysteps for me at that time, but if I didn't take those first steps I would have been on the path to discover all the wonderful stuff I did later on. And the letters pages for this book was one of the few I felt were worth the time to read, especially for those reading lists. I last reread the run in 2002 when I was home recovering* from abdominal surgery to repair a perforated colon, so it may be time to revisit them again soon (I've been thinking about doing that since Cowan & Bill S. returned to the character with Jeff Lemire for the Black Label book) -M *that 2002 reading list was quite a diverse group of opposites, besides that Question run it was the last time I read the full run of Transmet and the the Essential volumes covering the entire Ditko & Romita runs of Amazing Spidey. -M

I loved Cowan's work on the Question; but, lest we forget, the characterization and writing was from Denny O'Neil. The two Dennys/Denys made a heck of a team.
