Before we can raise Kane, we are going to need a tiebreaker from someone who has not yet voted.
The choice is between MDG and chadwilliam.

Thanks james . As usual when the subject is an artist, I won't be indulging in my usual wordplay. Instead people will have to content themselves with laughing at my Giant Size Man-Thing (so nothing unusual there then). (And on that note, I thought my Giant Size Man-Thing would receive more loving this week, but, as usual, this turned out not to be the case.) And now the results: Our winner this week is chadwilliam with 4 votes. Runner-up is MDG with 3 votes. In third place are Farrar, kirby101, Slam_Bradley, mrp, and Prince Hal, wth 2 votes each. And rounding out the vote getters are beccabear67, Rob Allen, bert, EdoBosnar, DubipR, Hoosier X, and adamwarlock2099, with 1 vote apiece.

Congrats to Chadwilliams, winning for a character not usually associated with Gil.
And hey, 2 votes in my own contest. Thanks! And thanks to all for posting covers from one of the masters of comic book art.

I wanted to post this cover but you beat me to it. I'm surprised you didn't get one vote. Also, I don't think that Sinnott ever inked Kane other than this cover.

Thank you very much, everybody! For the votes and for all those great covers which will be sending me on a hunt for the stories behind them! I'll post something now for this week's contest.

Sinnott inked Kane on the first two issues of Marvel Two in One. I thought theyy looked great, though Kane supposedly didn't like the results.

^^^ Yes, like many pencilers he wasn't very pleased by what strong inkers who had their own distinct styles (like Sinnott or Murphy Anderson) did to his pencils. He's said he preferred someone like Sid Greene because when Greene inked him Kane still "saw everything that I had put down in pencil" (as he stated AE #149 and elsewhere). Btw anyone ever read "His Name is Kane" from House of Mystery #180? Here's the first page. The whole story can be found here at this blog. Kane inked by Wally Wood!

I think it was in one of those Limited Collectors Edition from the Bronze Age. Yeah 'bone, I love that cover. I HAD to have that issue. Begged the 50 cents from my buddy and paid him back the next day at school. Also, the interior art by Kane and Klaus Janson is to die for.
