Right on the heels of that announcement comes further details on what we will see, specifically what may lead from Justice League 1 into Justice League 2.

And I would put this more into rumor category but here are some early casting hopes for the Suicide Squad film:

On the television side of things, the Flash preimiered to great ratings last week. I certainly enjoyed it, and also enjoyed the second episode this week. They managed to make the villain Multiplex into a compelling character. It looks like a ratings hit too. We also have a first pic of the Reverse Flash in costume. You can read about it here:

The Fox series Gotham has also been a ratings success. Based on that, Fox has given it a full season order, which is not a surprise.

With the extension of the season order, comes word on some possible comics characters making their debut on the show, weather in full character form or just in a name thrown out there as a nod to the comic fans.

In toy news Mattycollector had their October sale this week. The new offerings were 3 more Super Power tribute characters - Gold Superman, Green Lantern as Riddler, and Mr Mxyzptlk figures. All are still available, along with last month's Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman figures here:

OK time for me to rant a bit. These are $30 each. Thirty Dollars. Plus shipping and handling, which is not cheap from Matty. Even at the peak, $30 would get you just short of two DC Universe Classic figures, which is what these are. And one of thes, Mxyzptlk, is the only one I care to get - and this figure basically is an accessory to another figure. To put it another way - if you purchased all 6 of these figures (which is really 5 and a half figures) you are paying $180 before tax and shipping. When DC Universe was at retail, $180 would get you 9 figures, with some change left over. I know these are exclusive and there is markup for that. To me $23 - $25 is more appropriate. This seems to me to be one of the last ways they are raking some of the core DC fans over the coals. Based on this I still expect the Doomsday Unleashed figure to be upwards of $75, possibly even $100.
OK, last week was New York Comic Con. This con has been growing in recent years, and always has some good news. DC was represented there.
First up is the Justice Panel, and you can read about it here:

Next up is the Batman 75th Anniversary Panel, and you can read about it here:

And that is about all for this week folks. Have a good week and I will see you here next week!
