Hoosier XI remember buying that at Super Valu Except for the first issue (which I got at a used book store when it was maybe six months old) I got every issue of SSOSV brand-new off a spinner rack! During that time period, I’m pretty sure SSOSV was the only DC comic I collected regularly. I was very very busy this week! I didn’t get to the contest until ... Sunday I think. I looked at the cover where Black Canary joins the JSA but it’s not shown prominently on the cover. I didn’t want to spend a lot of time looking. I started scrolling SSOSV ... and just went with that issue because I thought it was funny. Also it’s a pretty good late 1970s DC cover! Thanks for voting for it! |

I love 1960s Crystal, and this issue of FF is one I read very early in my comic collecting days when it was reprinted in Marvel’s Greatest Comics. I’ve always loved this story! And then they hooked her up with Quicksilver and I’ve seldom liked either character since.

really torn between this one and MWGallagher's Batwoman, an all-time favourite cover for me. I think I chose that yellow-on-black costume and Valkyrie's original armour in one of the 12-Days contests a few yeas ago for top 12 costumes.
