So far it seems that, at least the following are "interested": Jean Grey/Phoenix : Famke Janssen, Sophie Turner Cyclops: James Marsden Others?
Given that the MCU X-Men film is at least 4-5 years away, I would have though Janssen is likely to be too old for the part (and I wasn't terribly impressed with her as Jean Grey anway). The other two - hell no! Marsden was marginally better in his cameo in DoFP, but he was like a lump of wood in the major roles, and Turner was just terrible in both her films (though admittedly they were diabolically bad films, so it might be a bit unfair to judge her on those)
Of the others, who haven't put their hat in the ring, my view would be: Wolverine: Jackman is definitely out unless he changes his mind, so no point thinking about it
Prof X: Patrick Stewart is getting old, wasn't a huge fan of McAvoy: Magneto: I may be in a minority, but I hated McKellen as Magneto. Fassbender was much better, but I'm all Magnetoed out Storm: Halle Berry, please no. Alexandra Shipp - was OK Mystique: Hard no for me, don't care who it is, been overused as a character Nightcrawler: don't care Beast: Kelsey Grammar! Rogue: Just about anyone other than Anne Paquin, she was just dreadful Colossos: The cartoon one from Deadpool Iceman: new actor please Blink: happy with Fan Bingbing

They should all be recast. There should be a ten year moratorium on Magneto and Mystique entering the story. Kid Omega would be good material to cover.

James McAvoy was a perfect Professor X. Ian McKellan was brilliant too, but I suspect he's far too old to commit to a film franchise at this point. Jackman was a brilliant Wolverine, but we've gotten all the Jackman Wolverine we need; it's time to move on and try a new approach. I'm extremely okay with recasting everyone else. Both Jean Greys, in particular, have been abysmal.

We need a clean slate, especially because we're looking at these actors playing the characters for a minimum of 10 years, probably more depending on how they start peppering them in into the upcoming films.

I don't think there's much change of just having the originals (too boring), but maybe add Havok and Polaris? Be nice to see some other characters all together.

I agree. As part of the MCU. It's not as if they're going to reboot after a single movie, so you have the actors from the original trilogy would be too old for multi-film deals. For example, Famke Janssen is about the same age as Robert Downey, Jr. (her exact is unclear, because Wikipedia just gives "c. 1964" as her date of birth). And Downey was written out last year as the older statesman of the MCU. As much as I love Patrick Stewart, 10 years from now he's be 90 years old (knock on wood). Several of the cast members from the last couple films were just so-so, and I think it would be weird to keep some (maybe Tye Sheridan as Cyclops) but recast the rest, so better to recast them all. The one exception would be Lana Condor who played Jubilee in Apocalypse. She fit the character well, and Jubilee was a supporting character. Plus, Condor's profile has risen.

Maisie Williams with that hair really does remind me of the comic Rhane/Wolfsbane in this picture.

Maisie Williams with that hair really does remind me of the comic Rhane/Wolfsbane in this picture. I totally see it, but I always think it's a mistake to cast someone based upon who they look like. Give me someone who truly understands the character and knows what to bring to it, and I'll forgive the difference in appearance fast. Heath Ledger Joker...

The guy who played Thunderbird in The Gifted really looked the part, but I'm not sure that the character is in high demand!
If the X-Men were to be introduced in the MCU, I wish it wouldn't be as new and untrained heroes... I'd write them as if they had been there all along, but acting behind the scenes. That would be hard to pull with the Fantastic Four (much to my chagrin, as I'll always see them as the founding family of the Marvel universe), but the X-Men have a good reason to act as discreetly as possible.
I wouldn't bring any of the old actors back. Let's start it fresh, and for heaven's sake let's wait before using Dark Phoenix yet again!!!

I liked Kelly Hu in the 2nd X-Men film, the only one I've seen. I wasn't familiar with the character she playede from the comics but she looked fantastic and I thought she did a great job given the nature of the part - as I recall, she didn't have much to do other than look menacing and beautiful at the same time. Her action scenes were convincing.

For Fantastic Four, I always thought they should do them as a team in the early 60s (they've always felt decidedly Silver Age to me). Or, make them another universe altogether. Incorporating either into the current MCU can be explained via Reed's talents.

F4 could easily start in the 60s then time-travelling to the present via the Quantum Realm or Negative Zone or some other mcguffin, using some Reed technology other than Pym particles - for example, they have the shrink-mobile that takes them into the Psycho Man realm. The F4 origin is a bit of a hard-sell for modern audiences, IMHO - even if you make Sue a scientist like in the execrable Fant4stic, you still need some way to crow-bar Johnny into the crew; if he's there as another scientist, he isn't Johnny Storm, he's some other character. I guess you could do it sort of like the Ultimate FF origin, where Johnny (and Sue or Ben, whichever aren't part of the Reed crew) get dragged in by proximity as the experiment goes wrong.
The trouble with the Ultimate origin, is that that's basically what they used for Fant4stic, and probably noone wants to go near that stll-smouldering dumpster fire again
