In the past we have ruled that covers to fanzines and other ephemera that are comic-adjacent but not comics were ineligible and it used to be clearly stated in the rules it had to be a cover of a comic or collection of comics but that seems to have disappeared form the rules in the process of copying and pasting over the years and only the date requirement is still there. If people want to allow it, I'm fine with that, but that goes against the precedent we have traditionally followed. -M

I'm led to believe there are fine people on both sides. You should read that book sometime if you haven't. The cover is essentially the 70's version of overly provocative clickbait, but its notoriety has made it quite a cult collectible. The story within is basically as formulaic as any other Spire Christian comics story.
