I still look at the countless Campbell images online and see the same face with different colored hair and the same body with a different outfit, for every female image he's ever illustrated.

That's a very common weakness. You could as well be talking about Byrne. Now, Manara knew how to draw different faces.

Yes, he draws a variety of faces, but let's face it...his women all have the same face. Same lips, same noses, chins; only thing that's changed is the hair. Jaime and Gilberto Hernandez on the other hand.....

I said "knew". Haven't been reading him lately (20 years).

Sorry, I have to ask- why doesn't Shax like Mcfarlane? It's not that he dislikes him. He loves him so much that it scares him and he hates that fear.

One thing I can say, I have no doubt that Eric Larsen could drink the rest of those guys under the table. You don't know Jim Valentino then. That man can drink and smoke pot in quantities that is just damm impressive. Trust me on this, I knew the guy in the 80's when we both had much more energy.

It's just that I have to get at least one "drunk Irishman" joke out a day, in some context, or I feel like I'm not doing my duty as a self-loathing 1/4 Irishman.

Back in the 90s, there was a clerk at a record store in my town who had the Byrne face. Because of his hair, he looked exactly like Byrne's Namor. It was something.
