I dunno. Just not feeling it. Looks like Bruce Wayne meets Frank Castle meets My Chemical Romance. 99% of people online seem excited though. Of course they also did for Batman v. Superman. We'll see.

Pass.
I've had my fill of violence and nihilism in Batman. It's not my Batman.

I’m sick to death of Batman. Last time anyone did anything remotely interesting with him was the Brave & Bold animated series. And I’m sick to death of every Batman movie being a retread of every other one.
Hard pass.

DC has a built in audience that will even pay top dollar to see Justice League twice. It's not like they really need to try on this thing. From what I can see, it's the look of Nolan's Batman without the substance. If you're going to bombard us with Batman films each decade, it would be nice if they didn't feel repetitive.
Wonder Woman aside, I haven't gone to see a DC film since Man of Steel, and that choice seems wiser and wiser with each subsequent film release. If the reviews are unanimously incredible, I'll see it, but even a universal "Really, it wasn't bad" wouldn't be enough for me at this point.
And are they just going to use Zsasz as a stand-in Joker?

Hard pass for me. I am so done with DC films - might try the 2nd Suicide Squad film because James Gunn (though I thought Guardians 2 wasn't very good, so maybe not), but all the previous films have been so dreadful, I just can't be bothered any more

Didn’t grab me in the way I had hoped, if I’m honest.
I do wish we could use some villains that hadn’t been done previously. Self-indulgent though it is, I want to see Man-Bat in a Batman film, I feel it could combine horror elements with superhero elements.

The suit looks way too busy...and from all the characters thrown into that trailer the plot seems the same way. We'll see what reviews say when it comes out. I had high hopes as I really enjoyed Reeves' Apes films but this didn't sell me.

Someone said that the shot of Pattinson with the mask off makes him look like Smith of The Cure and I kind of have to agree
The trailer looks interesting, but it's not much to go off of. But yeah, have to agree with the other posters who said that DC needs more happy heroes and not perpetually depressed a-holes. Shazam! was a step in the right direction, but a lot of people wrote it off as a "kids movie"

Considering how 2020 is, dark moody Bat's is suitable. But would much rather they stop with the whole tortured soul of Wayne and his masked identity. Why can't Brucey boy be a more balanced character in both of his identities and being a beacon of light and hope in a city enveloped by dark villains? I want my 70's Batman. A detective who would smile, had friends and partners and could outwit & out fight ALL villains he confronted.

I've always been underwhelmed by the Batman films. The 1989 film and the first Christian Bale film are the only ones I'd want to watch again. BTAS is the only Batman adaptation that I'll ever need. Keep trying DC/WB, maybe one day you'll pique my interest. My first suggestion would be to get the costume right.

I want the Neal Adams Batman in live-action. Is that too much to ask?
