What was the worst or most humiliating way a villain was defeated?

Emperor Doom. In the end he is exposed to his own weaponized air that converted all to doing his will. That's a defeat? How? Why?

At the end of Defenders #16, Magneto and his evil mutant band were turned into squalling infants. Terrible.

That was how Doom lost back in the Super-Villain Team-Up #14/Champions #16 two-parter, too. Not exactly an original ending (or was Emperor Doom a retelling of that not-so-classic story?).

How about the Skrulls being fooled out of an alien invasion by being shown old Marvel comics in Fantastic Four #2.

How about the Skrulls being fooled out of an alien invasion by being shown old Marvel comics in Fantastic Four #2. I think we have a winner! (Mark Gruenwald tried to explain this away years later by claiming Skrulls' vision can't differentiate between photos and colored line drawings. Really, MG???)

Have to double check, may have meant SVTU. Addendum: I was mixing up stories. It was SVTU, and Emperor Doom was similar with Doom using the Purple Man to do the same thing via a giant Crystal amplifier. I summon the doh, brain fart moment!

At the conclusion of his second appearance in Batman #1 (the issue had five stories - two of which were Joker tales), The Joker accidentally drives a knife into his own chest after stumbling into a wall while struggling with Batman. Though perhaps not the dumbest defeat ever, this one stands out to me since it was written as The Joker's actual death scene and only rewritten when it was suggested to Finger that The Joker survive the story. Had it gone through as intended, The Joker would not only have been defeated, but died in that story by stabbing himself with his own knife. Even with only two appearances under his belt, he deserved better than that.
