Not a fan of the windowless packaging for some of the new Marvel Legends. I salute the intention, but in an age in which quality assurance on figures is incredibly iffy, I need to see the product I'm purchasing.

I agree! I too have been keeping them in package to display, so that box is not really going to fit for me.. not sure I love the red bike either.. it looks more 'fun' than 'hellfire'

Definitely want that Dr. Doom if Hasbro is keeping the same packaging with this line as I'm keeping all mine on card for display. Not a fan of the windowless packaging for some of the new Marvel Legends. Dr. Doom was briefly shown on a carded bubble like the rest of the figures from the last 2 years.

Ghost Rider & bike are now up for pre-order and, at $24.95, I think I'm going to pass. That bike is not appealing to me, and the only Ghost Rider I feel any interest in is the 1990s version (with the much cooler bike). I'd pay $10 for a character I didn't care much about just because I love the series, and I might even spend $15 to get a stupid motorcycle that comes with it, but $25 just feels wasteful to me. This is now the 2nd figure from the line I've passed on, AF15 Spidey being the first (because did I really need another variant that looked pretty close to the same?).

I have no interest either.. the packaging is a big part of the appeal.. my guys are hanging on the wall, with the mid 2010s marvel calendar as backgrounds (the ones that are classic covers with a black border). They adorn the walls of the stairwell of my house.. it's pretty great. A box doesn't fit. Never mind that ugly bike.

Next wave announced! Great choices, but they have announced that they are sticking to three new figures per wave, and that has me concerned that we won't see core Avengers and X-Men like Scarlet Witch, Wonder Man, Nightcrawler, Colossus, and Professor X for a long while to come.

My wallet's limited budget very much likes the slow pace of releases. -M

I am not a big fan of the bike either, but I will say, if the goal of the line is to evoke Marvel and Marvel toys of the 80s (essentially the Shooter era), then the bike is pretty spot on to what a vehicle for a line like ths would have looked like in the late 70s/early 80s. Not that this is a good thing, but it does evoke the feel of toys I remember from that era fairly well. -M

That's a good point.. it does look very 80s!
LOVE those 3 new figs... I suspect they'll package those with older ones to make a case of 8-12 for stores, which totally makes sense to me.
I'll definitely pick those up when I get a chance!

I'll definitely pick those up when I get a chance! One of the local indy stores stopped carrying the line because he couldn't get mixed cases from his distributor at wholesale. He could only get cases of each figure. The last he got was a case of Venom and a case of the brown Wolvie because he knew he could sell a case of each (and did) but skipped the rest of that wave and all future waves. Not sure if big box retailers have the same issue, I doubt it based on distribution of figures on pages at Walmart, but that's a crappy thing to do to smaller retailers, whether it's Hasbro or the distributor at fault. -M

it is! Is Store is much more likely to do better with variety.
When Last I saw more than one or two 'in the wild' at Walmart and Target has quite a few different figures (10+ each) which was the first time in quite a long time that was the case, so it seems they got mixed cases... unless they're buying cases of each and mixing them for each store (which seems like alot of effort for a minor product)

Stopped by the local Game Stop because they had D&D dice sets on clearance, and found one of the retro Marvel Legends figures I didn't have. Needless to say 'Tasha was coming home with me to join her fellow Marvel Heroes on display... -M

Hasbro has announced the line is going on hiatus, or in their words "taking a rest" but the way Hasbro operates, I doubt we will ever see it revived, so what we have already is all we are likely to get for this line.
