I'm back with another Origin Stories, this time featuring old time classic board member Metarog. I don't think he's been active around here for a few years, but that's because he doesn't do much on chat boards these days, as he's become a big time YouTuber. Check it out!

This might have been my favorite episode. The recollections about his family's involvement in his early adventures touched my heart.

Very enjoyable! Nice to compare and contrast with my own experiences and relationship to comics and recalling those early days of discovery. Also appreciated your touching on the Atlas line as I’ve always found those books and characters interesting reads and why those titles didn’t seem more competitive in the marketplace with the stable of talent they had on board.

Very much enjoyed this episode, metarog and Crimebuster Silver Age Metal Men was such a perfect comic for a kid, wasn't it? I had a Metal Men comic from that time, not #25 but from a bit later on. I wish I could remember the exact issue but the synopses and covers on gcd aren't jogging the old memory cells. I just remember being surprised by the presence of Nameless, since the Metal Mens I'd read previously (courtesy of my cousins' huuuuuge DC stash) were the earliest issues, before Nameless was introduced.
