2021 Warner Bros Releases move to HBO Max Dec 3, 2020 15:26:59 GMT -5

Warner Brothers revealed today that all their 2021 releases will premiere on HBO Max the same days as they are released in theaters.

Like Wonder Woman 1984 before them, the slate includes The Suicide Squad, Dune, King vs Godzilla and The Matrix 4.

Sad news, as several of the movies are ones I really want to see in theaters.

Well you still can see them in theatres (provided there are any cineplexes left in business). But those who do not want to can see them at home via HBOMax if they choose to. More options for the consumer is not necessarily a bad thing.

I guess I was speaking from there not being any theaters currently open in Albuquerque. Obviously things can change but I’m not overly hopeful that it’ll be by Christmas.
