As the "Slacker of the Day" and being an hour late for the session, I didn't garner an appearance in either of the group snapshots.

Single malt scotch all around next time... name your poison-- I have around 40 different single malts of various ages on hand. If you're not a scotch drinker, I have 130-proof straight corn homemade moonshine, meticulously distilled in very small batches for tight quality control (what I'm holding in my avatar photo). There's also a variety of bourbons & tequilas lying around. I also have 120-proof absinthe on hand for our continental Euro-friends, complete with the appropriate glassware and utensils for proper absinthe enjoyment. For the lightweights, I have a decently stocked wine rack (mostly red, but some whites) and bottle-conditioned beer mini-cellar-- only don't ask for a Bud-Light or Coors Light, or you will be escorted to the exit by the bouncer. I do have bottled water on hand for the Light beer drinkers... it costs about the same and tastes better.
Scotch-- The Breakfast of Champions. Laphroaig-- Nectar of the gods. Bud Light--- generously provided on demand by the Anheuser-Busch Clydesdales-- direct from their stables to your grocer's cooler. 🐴🤮

Sir, you are a true gentleman and a scholar of refined taste and style which others wish they might strive for. Proud to know ye I am and I tip my hat in acknowledgement even in noting we're not worthy, we're not worthy!!!

shaxper has suggested trying an alternative to zoom, google meets. Does anyone have any opinions or experience with that video meeting place? I started an account this morning .

Use it for work video meetings. Don't think any difference to Zoom that I know of. We have no time limits but that may be a job contract thing. Occasional sound or video glitches like any system with weather or connections. Worth a try bro.

The google version has free length of 60 minutes as opposed to the 40 minute limit to zoom. But I'm thinking of subscribing to zoom , it's only around 13 bucks a month. I dislike logging off and starting a new meeting on Sundays, it interrupts the flow of conversation. Just looking for some feedback.

The lack of time limit was why I suggested it. If there is, in fact, a 60 limit, then there isn't much of an advantage.

At work, we're a Zoom organization and it's worked pretty smoothly. But we had a meeting with a partner org last week on Google meet, and it just felt clunkier and video quality didn't seem as good.
(They also let us use our accts for personal use and no one in my family has had problems with it, even joining from a phone or tablet.)

Zoom vs. Google Meet-- slight preference for Zoom, but I can work with Meet just as well.

If I did, I think I'd like to check if we could find another time, maybe a weekday evening. With the weather getting nicer, I'm hoping not to be available on Sunday afternoons.

It would be nice to video chat during the week some time. Every other Sunday I visit with my grandson in PA and am not available. I don’t hav an ego about this , anyone can host, it doesn’t have to be me.
