I was interesting to talk to people instead of just typing and reading. I discovered that many folks don't know what my avatar image is. I think Legion is a niche thing, and mid to late 1980s Legion is a niche within that. I read the classic Curt Swan LSH stories and the Darkness Saga and stopped around 300 of that series. The character you have as an Avatar is unknown to me but that team has around 150 members. That's a lot to keep track of. Quislet is part of the "group of 5" that joined once the series went to Baxter (it was running "regular" issues and direct market baxter issues for a year, and then the "regular" book just started repeating the Baxter book - which started off with an incredible LSH vs LSV storyline, that kills off a well known Legionnaire (issue 4), and results in the departure of another for the actions taken as justice for the death of that member.
anyways. . in the Baxter series, issue 14, five new members join: Sensor Girl, Polar Boy (from the Subs, finally), Magnetic Kid (I believe he's Cosmic Boy's brother), Quislet (Spoon's avatar), and Tellus (an alien telepath).
other than Magnetic Kid, they were all very interesting to me, and when it was revealed who Sensor Girl was, she became the breakout character from the group (and in the "three-boot" series, was re-imagined as a giant Snake, called "Sensor" (and the fans nick-named her "Snekie"). . LOL
anyways, Quislet has some pretty cool powers - that's not his body, he's an energy form that lives inside that spaceship shape.

I was able to bribe shaxper into making time in his schedule to be a part of the next Zoom meeting. I had to pay a very steep price, I promised to read one more Cerebus comic. Please understand the ultimate sacrifice I am making for his attendance. Anyway, the next meeting is set for this Thursday 1-7-2021, at 8pm EST. anyone and everyone is invited and I will post the meeting code on this thread around 7:55 pm. |
