I could really see this working, especially if they involve Paul Kupperberg in the writing.

The showrunner is Greg Berlanti of Flash and Arrow fame, and the head writer is going to be Roberto-Aguirre Sacasa of Afterlife with Archie, Sabrina and Glee fame. So it has potential to be good, and potential to be relly bad if it even remotely resembles the zeitgeist of Glee.

I never, ever thought of Archie having a TV Series until I read the link that you provided here. I was very surprised to read this.

I'm not sure I can picture it... Is it a straight teen drama? There's plenty of those, using the Archie characters doesn't seem to bring enough to the table. The brooding angst-y drama they tend to like in that sorta show is definitely not for me (or most people out of their teens, IMO). Is is campy on purpose? That could be fun, but would get old quick. Is it going to be Archie-with-monsters? Then will it really be Buffy redux? If I was an Archie fan, I think I'd be pretty scared

Archie's making a lot of good moves these days. Never thought I'd be a fan, but I'm becoming one.
I'd at least be willing to try the show, which is more than I would've said 5 years earlier.

With all the comics and cartoons I've seen in my life, the only thing Archie related I've ever liked is this...

But but .... I like that song. How do fictional people sing a song? So your telling me all this time that there was no REAL band The Archies singing Sugar Sugar? What's that called ... uh ... a mind blow? *explosion*
