Does anybody know if there is any possibility of further Gallery Editions? I'd love to see the Book 4 stuff in that large format! I remember when I first saw the originals of some pages at the JANM show what an impression they made, and those DH Gallery Editions recreated that experience really well.
The Grasscutter is great too, of course, but the scale doesn't make quite the same impact.

I know at least part of the issue is availability of original pages. Stan has sold a lot of artwork over the years, and they can't reproduce at that size and quality without the original artwork.

Stan has sold one (1) page of published in-continuity original Usagi Yojimbo art , and he has given away, as a wedding present, one (1) page of published in-continuity original Usagi Yojimbo art. He still owns all of the remaining original published art pages from all the published Usagi Yojimbo stories. He has sold most of the original art for the covers, and the end-papers from the hardcover books, as well as the original art for pages that were never published for various reasons. Sample of a page of original art that was never published..... Another sample....

I stand corrected. What was the story behind the page he sold and the page he gave as a wedding gift? The wedding gift, I believe, was given to Todd (Shogun) Bustillo. Unfortunately, I can't even say which page it might have been. The page that was sold was from the "Chanoyu" story, and is mentioned in the Gallery Edition in which the story was reprinted. Canadian Dojo member Estee made Stan an offer right after the comic was released which surprised Stan enough that he accepted it.

Right, I inquired once about whether original pages would ever come up for sale, and the answer then was that it wasn't in the plans.
