Good job here guys. You hit on Grell's tropes as a writer and artist coming into play and his growth in both. Covered his choosing to write of current topics and not avoiding them while avoiding stereotypical aspects. We get great Hollywood, spy's, mercenaries, fire arm enthusiasts, hunter and poachers, dancers, stuntmen and who knows what else. Sable was very much Grell's personal platform so he took full opportunity to explore and express his views and thoughts. Part of what made this series so wonderful.
The only downside is there seems to have been technical issues Scott? Did others have lots of freezing and pauses in their pod play? Few times I had to push forward past the freeze. Just a minor glitch.

Just a minor glitch. I'm not aware of any issues, it played fine for me. Is anyone else experiencing problems? I can try re-uploading if necessary.

I had no audio issues listening on Spotify.
I'll add a little more info on Greg "Pappy" Boyington, since he was an Idaho guy and the airfield in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho is named after him. He won both the Medal of Honor and the Navy Cross in World War II, and had flown with the Flying Tigers before re-joining the Marines when the U.S. entered the war.
I definitely agree that Grell's portrayal of Gray and his relationship with Sable was quite good for the time.
Shatter was absolutely awful. Grell was putting time in to getting ready the aborted Batman/Jon Sable team-up which necessitated the back-up feature.
I absolutely agree that Grell seemed to be losing interest by around issue 30 on.
