Just picked up a copy of Tim Truman's Scout #19 and included with it is a 2 song flexidisk Truman recorded that serves as a soundtrack for some of the book's pages. I am curious to listen to it, but really don't want to try to carefully remove it and put it on the turntable I have downstairs...anyone know if there is an online recording of it anywhere? I haven't been able to track one down (even checked Truman's old myspace music page) buthaven't had any luck. The 2 songs on it are called...Blues Crusade and Double Moon Stomp. Truman plays guitars, Mickey BB Dean is second guitar, Jim Rhoads on drums, Joel Bragg on bass, and the vocals on the first track are done by Paul Vignone.
More a curiosity than anything, and I will break down and play the flexidisc eventually if I can't find the music elsewhere, but I have never had luck with any flexidisc holding up.

I haven't heard it online or anything, but I did want to weigh in on a record nerd level.
Long as you have a new needle on a few plays will not hurt the flexi disk. I just listened to my Billy and the Boingers 7" flexi which I believe came out in the late 80s or so the other day and it still works fine. I have also cut a couple of flexi disks myself in the past and keep them in fairly heavy rotation and haven't really noticed any degradation on them. But I am also really big on changing needles at least once a year.
