Apparently Stan did a alternate cover for one of the Dark Horse Witcher Mini series, which was in the Omnibus I got... very cool!   |

With a title like Finding Stan Sakai in a surprising place place i envision seeing Stan in Texas ordering Rabbit Jerky or Barbecued Bunny. Or on a Mexico vacation at an all you can eat tamale stand?

I missed this when it first came out, but my guys at my lcs were able to get me a copy of this, which I picked up today...  It's like a Reese's Cup of comics, two of my favorite things (Conan and Stan's art) mixed together... -M |

It's like a Reese's Cup of comics, two of my favorite things (Conan and Stan's art) mixed together... -M What always intrigues me when Stan does these variant covers is that he is exceptionally adept at drawing in the more traditional style, yet chooses to give these covers Usagi's trademark look. I guess that's what folks are looking for when they commission Stan Sakai, and yet I've seen his take on Galactus in the Marvel style, and wow...! |
