The obvious answer to this question is "both".
Now, before things go all PornHub, I'm merely stating that these two girls, while being rivals, KNOW that Archie goes out with both of them without committing to either.
As such, if I want an evening at the county fair or a dinner of burgers amd fries, it's Betty, but if I'm craving something a little more upscale, I give Veronica a call, because they're both total babes and choosing between them is virtually impossible.

Neither in the context of the Archie world. Betty is trapped in her desire for the red headed fool who can't see how great she is. Veronica uses, abuses and takes advantage of the red headed dumb ass with no intention for committment. Both girls are deaf, dumb and blind to reality. Archie isn't worth either of their attention as he totally forgets about them and chases after every new girl in town he meets.
It makes for fun comic reading but none of them are healthy individuals in Riverdale.

As cartoon character designs, I've always leaned more towards Veronica, not sure why off the top f my head. Coold it be that as a rich-girl character, she was given a wider variety of clothes to wear? And as a some-time "villainess" (or as close as Archie ever came to one), possibly she was give a wider range of expressions too - she was allowed to be arch or even slightly malicious more often than Betty, so that might have made her feel a little less one-note to me. I'll have to pay attention to this question if I ever read a bunch of Archie comics. I can say that I've always liked that 4-colour comic-book blue-black hair as well, not only on Veronica but other comic book heroines like Barda, or Sif from Thor.
