I see this cover, and instantly in my head I hear Queen singing "Flash! ah ah..."
And here I thought it was just the voices in my own head!
Yeah, me too. Mine sound like this, by the way:

My first ever comic was also a Gold Key: However, when I hear Gold Key, the first thing that pops into my head is Star Trek!

I have fond memories of reading the Gold Key Star Trek comics as a kid in the early '80's; I think I first read the via an early Trade. Great artwork & fantastic original art covers (other than the photo-covers). I am disappointed that this iconic ST GK series has never been reprinted in it's entirety. We've seen Trades & some HC's, but both sets of reprints stalled well before reprinting the entire series.
I also remember reading some other GK comics back in the early '80's as well, but it's been years so I don't remember the actual titles - just that they were good!
I would pay good $ to see many of these titles reprinted, but doubt it will happen - given that most of them were licensed properties. Plus, the majority of these titles are very obscure these days.

Dark Horse did several Archive collections for Western-owned properties, like Turok & Magnus. Star Trek was reprinted. Yes, I know that the Star Trek Gold Key series was reprinted by two companies (in TPB & later HC). But, this GK ST series was never reprinted in it's entirety. Both series of reprints stalled prior to completing the whole series (61 issues). Here's some more detail(s) regarding this: curtdanhauser.com/Logs.htmlI remember hearing about the Turok & Magnus Archives - I should have gotten those, but wasn't that familiar with either series. I did get one volume of DH's Boris Karloff's Tales of Mystery Archives & thought it was great. Too bad they didn't reprint the entire series. Another GK series I would really like to see reprinted is the old Twilight Zone series, which ran for 91 issues from 1962-1979. Most of these came out before my time & I don't remember seeing any of these issues on the stands. However, in doing some research - this seemed like a great comic series, with original stories that weren't limited by the budget of a weekly TV show with minimal effects. I doubt this will ever be reprinted due to the licensing issues, but one can hope. Here is a link: comicvine.gamespot.com/twilight-zone/4050-2102/Would also like to see Gold Key's Ripley's Believe it or Not reprinted, but I think that's about as likely as the TZ title - LOL.

With Dark Shadows, you're in luck: Hermes Press published the Gold Key series as three TPBs: I picked up a couple Dark Shadows issues last summer and they were even further from the show than Star Trek. The art (Joe Certa?) didn't help, unlike Ken Bald's moody work on the newspaper strip.

Hi. I'm very new here and am looking forward to digging into the threads.
I’m looking for help in identifying a comic book I had as a kid in the 70’s, and it would have been published then as well. I believe the story was in one of Gold Key’s horror/sci fi anthology comics (Boris Karloff Tales of Mystery, Twilight Zone, Grimm’s Ghost Stories, et al) but I can’t be 100% sure of that. One short story (the only one from the mystery issue I can recall) involved a family in a rural (I think) or suburban location who had a pink worm or slug infestation. They got tired of the critters getting into everything (and stepping on them), so they sprayed the area with some sort of poison. The next thing you know, the poison mutated the critters into giant sized worms, which proceeded to destroy the house and kill all the family members. I think the worms were pink (!)
Any ideas? Thanks!

Might try mycomicshop.com and search the titles. They have story title listings and one might jog your memory; or Grand Comics Database, which is linked on the home page, as that will have titles and descriptions, to a point.
Boris Karloff and Twilight Zone did a lot of monster & weird horror stories and seem a little more likely. Ripley's and Grimm's Ghost Stories tended to be more ghost and Gothic Horror stuff. Dr Occult was more supernatural.

I tried searching the GCD a couple of ways - first for "worm" as a keyword, then for "worm" in a story title, then the same two searches for "slug", but didn't find any obvious candidates.

The only thing my search produced was a reference to The Valley of the Worm", an adaptation of Robert E. Howard's story from the third issue of Marvel's anthology title, Supernatural Thrillers (April, 1973):
