(See the Advance Warning before participating) Nominations for Favorite Beyond the Back Issues Thread1. Please post no more than one nomination for your Favorite Beyond the Back Issues Thread in our eighth year of the CCF (between April 30th, 2021 at 9:22pm EST and April 30, 2022 at 9:21pm EST). 2. You must explain why you are nominating this thread. This is the blurb that will end up in the CCF Hall of Fame if it wins! 3. Please second no more than one nomination made by another member. You may not second your own nomination. 4. Any thread that has previously won this award should not be nominated again unless it has done something especially different in the past year that is worthy of note. It is a given that past winning threads continue to enrich the community. Let someone else have a turn 5. Any thread receiving both a nomination and a second will be included in the final ballot for this award on May 24th. 6. Nominations and Seconds for this round conclude on May 12. 7. Absolutely NO negative talk about another thread, its participants, nor another member's nomination. The very purpose of this event is to salute our members and discussions for all they contribute to this community. Though only one member will ultimately receive this award, you have the potential to thank and maybe touch any member you choose to nominate or second. Please don't use this opportunity to hurt or deflate someone. So start your nominating!

I'm going to nominate Marvel Legends KENNER 3.75", which first began to heat up in the past year as the figures started showing up on shelves and pegs. When I started the thread, I thought it would be a quick discussion about a cool upcoming series, but it ended up being a passionate fandom discussing the quality and cost of these figures, tracking their availability, and celebrating finding them in the wild. A lot of this is due to the contributions of whakojacko, who was usually the first to bring us news and promotional images. I really had fun keeping up with this thread and look forward to doing so further in the year to come.

I'd like to nominate @mrp for a majorly cool thread, the The Eye of the Beholder-an all purpose TTRPG thread. There are a number of folks here who have either played tabletop RPG's at some point in their life or are still very active today, and I've really enjoyed everyone's posts. It ranges from bits of relatable nostalgia to great detailed info on current campaigns some folks are playing, and I think everyone knows the great passion for and knowledge of this space mrp brings. Gamers unite...can I get a second?! Also, I want to be respectful of the rules here, but I'm pretty sure if I roll a "20" with my d20, the thread gets an automatic win

Has anyone ever nominated the "Fly You Fools" Tolkien thread? That one was started by @mrp too and is one of my favourite non-comic threads. There are always interesting and thought-provoking replies to whatever topic is currently being discussed. The level of knowledge about Tolkien's legendarium and the intellectual nature of the replies that are regularly on display from the half dozen or so regular posters to that thread is really something.

I'll nominate Hawke's #$%& this! thread reflecting on the language use in modern comics. #$%&ing seconded. It's an interesting look at a single form of media, but it's applicable across a wide range of them. Consider how the language in movies has evolved, with the MPAA actually listing which words and how many of each factor into a movie's rating, or how the language used on even network TV has gotten more coarse over the years.
