(See the Advance Warning before participating) Nominations for The Uatu Award (Most knowledgeable member)1. Please post no more than one nomination for a member who you feel was the most knowledegeable in our eighth year of the CCF (between April 30th, 2021 at 9:22pm EST and April 30, 2022 at 9:21pm EST). 2. You must explain why you are nominating this member. This is the blurb that will end up in the CCF Hall of Fame if they win! 3. Please second no more than one nomination made by another member. You may not second your own nomination. 4. Any member that has previously won this award should not be nominated again unless they have done something especially different in the past year that is worthy of note. It is a given that past winning members continue to enrich the community. Let someone else have a turn 5. Any member receiving both a nomination and a second will be included in the final ballot for this award on May 24th. 6. Nominations and Seconds for this round conclude on May 18th. 7. Absolutely NO negative talk about another member, nor another member's nomination. The very purpose of this event is to salute our members and discussions for all they contribute to this community. Though only one member will ultimately receive this award, you have the potential to thank and maybe touch any member you choose to nominate or second. Please don't use this opportunity to hurt or deflate someone. So start your nominating!

Gonna nominate Slam_Bradley. I’ve learnt a lot from his posts over time. I remember posting about the change from BC and AD to BCE and CE once, he replied with some historical context which taught me a thing or two. He also answered some legal questions I had after I’d watched a Perry Mason episode. But it’s not just about acronyms and legal questions. When MAD or vintage Disney comics have been mentioned by him, once again, context and history has been provided. In a nutshell, he’s knowledgeable about the subjects he participates in, but never fails to provide that often crucial historical context where it is required. And context is king, enriching any topic being discussed.

Be it here on the boards or in one of Icctrombone's Zoom meetings, I am always awed by MDG's knowledge of obscure (well, obscure to me) underground comics as well as classic books and strips. He always has some cool first-person anecdote to tell about a particular creator or some piece of artwork. I'll admit it frankly: I'm a little awed by the breadth of his experience!

I will definitely second MDG. But not MGD (Miller Genuine Draft).

I nominate Crimebuster. He displays a lot of knowledge in his podcasts and generally knows his way around all types of genres.
