I'll agree on Beetle with an eating disorder, since it comes out of left field.  It wasn't like Raven's transformation, in Titans, where Perez subtly altered her appearance a little at a time, until you started noticing she looked different and they went into the full story.  Had Beetle been shown, over time, scarfing down food or looking a little heavier, issue by issue, I would have bought more into it.
