Bingo! That blue arm jogged my memory enough. That's one of the German Superman albums produced back in the 80's later reprinted in the States And later - a coke to Ozymandias for beating me to it.

Awesome! You got it!
I was always confused why Superman Album was necessary. With all the Superman family titles, they did not have enough material to satisfy German demand for Superman?
Sure, the European market is more used to the graphic novel format than "floppies", but there were always plenty of two-parters to combine to those.
I really loved the Superman Red /Superman Blue story in issue #1, too.
BTW, the "it's a bird" clue referred to Curt Swan, whose handiwork is barely recognizable in the Planeteer figure.

In the sake of fairness, I should do this one, in order to allow my closest competitor, the chance to regain the ground lost in this round.

I was pretty sure it would be What if..? #47 or "Love and war", but no. On the plus side, I got to look at a lot of beautiful Sienkiewicz art.

Got it: www.comics.org/issue/272253/Edit: A slightly altered version was used for this edition: The colors are off in all cases from the scan you posted, so there might be other printings out there?

The first one, 1st printing. Colors are off bc I just took a pic with the phone. The oldest American edition in my collection, by order of purchase.
Back to you Wild.

If Wildfire is too busy, I could try another one... Promise it will be an American edition and easier this time.
