I thought I had this one with Star Spangled War Stories #170 but alas, I do not. Looks like a Kubert grenade though lol

The hand looks more Severin than Kubert to me though.

I was thinking Russ Heath or Jack Davis.
It could be a Marvel war comic circa 1960.

I just looked at about 50 covers of Combat Kelly holding hand grenades, but no luck.

Bah. Thought I had it w/War Action #8 from Atlas, but the fingers are off. Plus the image would have to have been rotated slightly.
There sure were a lot of war comics w/guys throwing grenades.

Got it!
Young Men on the Battlefield #17 October 1952 Atlas Comics
CBDB says the artist is Dave Berg, of MAD magazine fame.

I looked at five Atlas war comics with "Marines" as part of the title.
And then I tried "War."
And then I went through "Battle," Battle Action," "Battle Brady," "Battlefield," Battlefront," "Battle-Ground" and I don't know what-all.
Was going to try "Combat" next.
