I have many family members who serve in the US Military and that's a tall order to fill and I wanted to say thanks for any members here that serve their time as well. Thank you all for your time and sacrifice.

Many will deplore the politics of our respective governments or question the legitimacy of this war or that war, but none of that diminishes the courage and the sacrifice of our troops. Respect.

Thank you to all who have served. Despite not always agreeing with the Commander-in-Chief or the politics of the day, it's vital that our military carry out their duty without bias or prejudice.

As a former member of the Navy, thanks to all. Respect is especially deserved for those young men & women who are volunteering now, after the many years of wars overseas we've had of late. They're still volunteering, even knowing what awaits.
My wife and I (she's also a Navy veteran, we met at the Naval War College in Newport, RI), spent the day enjoying some of the freebies that have become available over the last several years to veterans on Veterans' Day. We got free haircuts from Great Clips, free lunch from Texas Roadhouse, 10% off the winter coat she needed from Gander Mountain, and finally a free supper at Olive Garden. As luck would have it, our server was a young man who is a Marine reservist and we had a great time talking with him. We also had conversations with several other vets at the various locations, which further enriched the day.

Vets deserve so much more than a free dinner and haircut, so the least we can offer here is our sincerest appreciation for your service. Thanks for keeping us safe.
