I bought mine years ago I think I paid 20 bucks for it . A very fine plus copy . I see you are nearly completed you Conan the Barbarian set congrad's . Awesome haul you had . I have always wanted to collect Astonishing tales with Ka-Zar . I think he is a totally under rated character . I collected the 3 part series and volume 1 and 2 also Ka-Zar the Savage series too . I even found issue 12 with the panel only 1600 of those were made in a dollar bin awhile ago . Have a great Columbus day . I was more interested in the Doc Doom series in those early Astonishing Tales (I had #2 as a hand me down as a wee lad and always wanted to read the rest but never got around to getting them), but there is some good stuff in that Ka-Zar run too. Down to 6 issues needed for Conan the Barbarian, so hopefully will get those next year, maybe at Gem City unless I run into them somewhere before then. My budget is pretty tapped for this year, so unless I trade/sell off some stuff I don't see much in the way of big purchases the rest of the year... Have a great holiday weekend too. -M

Doctor Strange & Doctor Doom: Torment & Triumph TPB - If Stern writes it I will buy it. Mignola art is a bonus.
Showcase Presents Martian Manhunter vol 2 - I read some reviews that said the series gets real bad by this point, but those same people hate Zook so I assume them fools.
Ellis' Moon Knight TPB - Never read Moon Knight outside of the first couple Huston issues, which I didn't care for. But much like Stern, Ellis is reason enough to give it a shot.

I got this beauty in the mail today. For the longest time I thought I had it ,but what I did have was Giant-size Avengers #5 which was a reprint.

I got this beauty in the mail today. Very nice. Pym in my favorite of his many costumes and a formidable team of villains. I don't recall the Mandarin "playing well with others." Is this his first outing with a villain team?

Thanks Richard . Trying to find them for reasonable has been a pain . So far issue 56 was the most I have paid . 59 cost me 6 and the rest were 2 bucks each . I just found issue 58 online from a store down east for 8 bucks . So may have to order it to complete set . I can't believe that issue 57 is so pricey now . Have a great one .

Some recent auction winnings arrived this past week. I got a nice batch of silver age books: and some nice Golden Age books, only one per publisher, please.

Got to go to this little out of the way place late yesterday, one of only two or three trips I get to make there per year, as we were visiting my best friend's house for his daughter's birthday party right down the road.
I picked up a Marvel Team-Up #22 (Spidey and Hawkeye) for $2.50 and #71 (Spidey and Falcon) for $3.00 yesterday, but the big coup from that trip was getting the Marvel Milestone reprint of Incredible Hulk #181 for $3.00, while a copy of the actual issue that looked as though it had been dropped into the gutter, left there for a week, picked up by a dog, dragged halfway across town on the street, then left in a puddle for a month was on the shelf behind the counter for $300.
I want an entire run of Incredible Hulk and I hate Wolverine, so that was a happy find for me.

I stopped by my LCS at lunch today, and picked up Tales of the Batman: Archie Goodwin for $20. Wow. What a package! The name is misleading as the volume includes the complete Manhunter backup series as well as most of Archie's Bat-work, including Night Cries and stories from Batman: Black and White. And the artists: Walt Simonson, Marshall Rogers, Alex Toth, Gary Gianni, Bo Hampton, Gene Ha. Just an incredible collection.

Do you mean Tales of the Batman? Yes. Yes, I do. I think I had LotDK on the brain because of Archie.
Still, a beautiful HC filled with excellent stories and incredible art.
