And my next volume of Diamond is Unbreakable came in the mail (consisting of chapters originally published in 1994):

I remember liking that book. Good BWS artwork; don't know how the story holds up. On the comic binding group I'm part of, one of the members did a bind of all the Rune comics (including the Marvel Universe works as well).

As an American living in Scandinavia, my pickings are fairly slim in the vintage English-language department... we have local classifieds and a few used book stores that have old comics, but most of them have been translated from English... so imagine my absolute surprise when I did a word search on the local classifieds website and not only did I find a GI Combat (and the only one listed at all), but it was the first dollar GI Combat I ever bought back in the '70s... mine quickly lost its cover back then, but said image was still burned into my cerebral cortex and I about fell over when that cover stared back at me... I only had to pay 3 Euros for it and was thrilled to hold it in my hands again... I probably had not seen it since circa '82 but I remembered not only every story but much of the dialog...
Other than that, I've had to purchase from ebay and it's been pretty expensive compared to what it was in the '70s! LOL!

Hey! I have that series! I bought them off the stands, back in the day, except for 7 which my wife recently bought for me. I plan on binding them.

DubipR I have recently gotten into home-binding comics... boy do I have some questions for you! There's a lot of tutorials on YouTube on how to bind comics. I actually go through a bindery that does them for me. It's a little costly but it's done professionally.

Today I was just trying to complete my Rune collection: I never read any of the Malibu line but have picked up a few as back issues because of particular creators, e.g. Steve Gerber's Sludge series, though I haven't read any yet. But I'm starting to get into some 1990s stuff now so I'll have to dig them out. I'd forgotten about BWS's Rune, I'll hae to see if I can find those too.

I'm not exactly the biggest Conan fan, but this had several things going for it....full run, bronze-age, nice shape, a nice compact set so I can say I'm not a Conan virgin....that didn't sound right....anyway

Today I was just trying to complete my Rune collection: And my next volume of Diamond is Unbreakable came in the mail (consisting of chapters originally published in 1994): Rune is nothing short of amazing. Issues #0-#5 are maybe ones the best comic books I've ever read. I love Jojo, but kind of lost interest in the series when they switched from Ripple/Harmon Energy to Stands

The Ultraverse is just a weirdly great time capsule of the indie comics scene in the 90's. I love Sludge, Rune, Hardcase, Prototype, The Solution, Night Man and Mantra. I've heard good things about Firearm, but haven't read it
