Batflunkie tempting me to pick up that Killraven trade (I've almost pulled the trigger like 5 times) What finally got me to do it was the fact that Amazon had the "1 left in stock order soon" knee-jerk purschase going on. I think it restocked after I bought it, imagine that...

Still waiting for this to arrive from Lonestar, but I won this in their last auction for $5 (plus shipping) to add to my red dress cover collection. It's low grade, but I'll take books from the early 50s for $5 whenever i can... -M

Could the adventures of Cracky possibly be as wacky as they say?

Could the adventures of Cracky possibly be as wacky as they say? Not only are they wacky, but there are some serious shenanigans and goings on as well.

Love the look of that Hand of Fate issue, @mrp. Great cover and clearly has been well loved and well read by many hands (and there's nothing wrong with that).

Went into jersey to distract the mind and look at pretty colors. I ended up picking these dollar books up. I never heard of the Bravados. I think this is Buscema's last Silver Surfer tale, and the Donna Troy book completes the mini for me after many years.

I decided to take a little break from buying vintage Detective Comics ... BUT … I allowed myself to buy a nice Detective Comics #244 and consider it a Christmas present to myself. So I have been looking about once a week, to see if I can find one that’s in nice condition, but not TOO nice.
I found one that’s a little too nice. I put it on my eBay watch list. I was very much on the fence about it.
And then the dealer offered me a 5% discount.
It’s still a little too nice. But I decided to go ahead and order it and just not buy any more vintage Detective until March.
BATARANG X!! I love that yellow background on the cover. It’s like Sheldon Moldoff painted it on a giant banana

The dealer is here in California! And he got it in the mail right away! So eBay says I’m going to have Detective Comics #244 by Friday!

The Hand of Fate issue arrived, as well as a handful of books I added to the order to even out shipping and make it worthwhile. knocked another early Ghost Rider (#5) off the list, and the Strange Academy was the Halloween Horrorfest freebie they threw in. I also grabbed both issues of the never completed Forgotten Realms mini-this was an odd bird, it was an ongoing mini series but each issue was a hardcover normal comic sized issue done in a manga art style. I remember a friend having the first one, and never saw any more. Only 2 issues (of the 6 issue series) were ever released as far as I know. But now these are checked off my D&D related comic want list. So not a lot added to the order (budget constraints) but enough to make the shipping more palatable and to knock off a couple things from my list. -M
