I took off work today to extend my recovery from my marathon gigs for the Tennessee Renaissance Festival, and my postal carrier brought this--
Not a "Classic" comic when judged by publication date, but certainly a "Classic comic in terms of the homage cover (both issues are the same inside, the one on the left is a limited-print cover), the writing style, and the general throwback feel.
Crimebuster does a great job with these-- all original material, and you can definitely tell that it's a real labor of love for him. I'm definitely onboard for as long as he wants to create this series.
Thank you for the support and the kind words, Rob!

Placed a small Lonestar order to get the Crimebuster FCBD issue I couldn't get locally, nothing spectacular, just a few odds and ends... This had been on my notify me if it comes in stock list and it did, the Jonny Quest issue of Amazing Heroes, along with a long ago FCBD D&D comic I had never seen before... and then I filled in some holes on some Flash Gordon stuff, rounding out the Dynamite series by Jeff Parker and the Ardden mini form the very brief time they had the license from King...I had the Dynamite series when it came out but somewhere along the line I misplaced the issues so ended up getting it back now. plus that Crimebuster issue and extras of the Conan, Frazetta and Sonja issues (ordered before I went to my lcs just in case they were out of any of those). -M

Bought on the 16th, shipped on the 20th, received on the 21st via Correos. 4th Monroqueta42 Comics order: This is like the only shop I know in Spain that regularly renews their stock of American floppies, not just a collector.
The first one included free of charge, as the grading was wrong. He offered another one instead but sent this one all the same too!
Some cheap Preachers won in auctions. Issues 2 & 3 have sticker damage, but at 7.26€ for both of them, that's OK. The other two were even cheaper, 6.01€ together.
Some discounted Nam issues, at 2.40€ each. Had to track the rest of the Golden run elsewhere.
More auctions with sticker damaged comics, 1.10€ each. Bought them just for the art, Waid isn't someone I follow.
Have the TPB, but at 1€ a piece, it was time to get the floppies. The rest were more expensive (mycomicshop).
Same thing, the TPB doesn't have the covers, and could get all three of them for 14.80€. The Titans one, also an auction for 3.05€. Never heard of it, nice Pérez art.
I don't like crossovers, but I like Simonson and Buscema, so at 4€ each I finally got some high grade copies.
From todocoleccion, paid on the 16th, sent on the 17th, received on the 19th via Correos:Outrageous postage for a domestic envelope of less than 500g. 7.13€ merited no feedback from me. The seller refused to say how much it would be, before formalizing the purchase. If not for what others ask for issues 7 & 13, I would've declined. Bought on the 17th, shipped on the 18th, received on the 19th via Royal Mail 1st Class (to UK address). UK eBay seller, Landaura Comics, not my first purchase with them, more like the third:Not sure I would've graded issue 4 as VF+, but they offer a good service overall. Price was tight, no sale here. Bought on the 17th, shipped on the 20th (?), received on the 28th (!) via Royal Mail 2nd Class (to UK address). UK eBay seller, not my first purchase with this guy, more like the last:Last time he sent two comics, one was the wrong volume and the other was overgraded. This time one of the three was way overgraded (was to be over VF and turned out a VG/FN if generous). In both cases he took forever to post and was full of excuses, his only solution is to offer partial refunds, but one gets tired of dealing with these sellers. Bought on the 19th, shipped on the 20th, received on the 22nd via Royal Mail 1st (?) Class (to UK address). UK eBay seller, the guy couldn't tell a tracking number from a PO ticket number, : Bought on the 21st, shipped the same day, received on the 2nd via USPS International Economy + Correos. 5th LS order to arrive (on time) out of 7 and in just 6 working days!:A better copy than the one I got from the Spanish shop.
A replacement copy for an Ultimate SM they sent me last time with some pages missing. And a not so cheap reprint of the prohibitive Preacher #1.
These set be back for about 10€ each. Ouch.
Couldn't find these ones in the UK.
The CA and the Hulk ones replace low grades copies I have. The Warren Ellis is awfully drawn, but it's still Ellis.
I paid almost as much for these ones in postage and taxes as in the comics themselves. Still, the selling price was low, so I get the whole series at less than 3€ each.
Could've gotten a better copy of the 1st reprint for a little more, but didn't realize until after paying. Damn.
Bought on the 7th, shipped on the 9th, received on the 10th via Correos. 5th Monroqueta42 Comics order:Most of these were on auction, but I only won one of them. Many buyers don't understand the point of auctions, which is why they work for sellers. I let the other guy win the biddings and bought better copies of the same comics, from the same seller, at a lower price. I just made him an offer for the lot and he accepted. The other guy must feel really proud to have locked horns and come out triumphant. Bought on the 28th, shipped on the 4th, received on the 11th via Royal Mail Tracked & Signed + Correos. Comicana (19th order):Only one week, coronation and all! Fastest delivery since Brexit. Bought on the 3rd, shipped on the 4th, received on the 15th via PostNL + Correos. House of M Comics (3rd order?):Delivery took only two working days in Spain, but a whole week to arrive from The Netherlands. Being the "biggest comic book store of Europe", I keep an eye for the FCBD offers. This year, 25% off over 300€ and free shipping. Turned out to be expensive for the service, but there aren't many choices this side of the Atlantic to buy the complete Immortal Hulk series at a reasonable price. You can find cheaper offers on eBay if you live the USA, but postage and customs will make it more expensive in the end. At 6.75€ each, it all comes down to grading: There was also a bunch of free comics, like last year, but they're more of a nuisance than anything else, really.

Wound up winning a Lonestar auction for something comic adjacent, a Gardner Fox sword & sorcery novel titled Kyric (in the tradition of Conan) and added a handful of comics to the order to round out for shipping. This mini featured covers by Darwyn Cooke, and I don't know much about it, but I have enjoyed what I have read of Steve Vance's comic material in the various series based on the DCAU (Adventures in the DC Universe in particular) so I decided to give it a shot. Worst case scanrio, I have a few more Darwyn covers for my Darwyn collection. and then grabbed these three plugging in some holes in my run of the Legends of the DC Universe series (I think I need only 3-4 more now) -M

Not quote an immediate purchase but a future one but I backed from Larry Welz the Cherry Omnibus. Celebrating 40 years of his iconic underground creation. All 22 issues in a nice hardcover, signed by Welz. Too good not to pass up.

I bought the Concrete: Depths TPB in effort to try more indy material. I also bought the X-Men: Second Genesis Epic Collection even though I think I have all the stories in it in one form or another. I figured I'd buy it for convenience, the materials from F.O.O.M. in the back of the book, and because some of my Classic X-Men issues are in so-so shape. I bought Doorway to Nightmare #4 based on the praise from tartanphantom for the series in the Zoom chat. Finally, I ordered some TPBs from the 2009 New Mutants series because I've enjoyed binging the original series and haven't read the 2009 series at all.

Went to a nearby store that sells old comics, magazines, toys, sports cards, etc., and picked up a few oldies but goodies. That Bugs Bunny comic is from 1957, I think it's my third oldest comic, after a Roy Rogers & Trigger from 1955 and an Andy Panda from 1956.

Picked these up a buck each in Scranton PA. The 2 FF Unplugged books give me 1 more book to get to complete the 6 issue series.

I dropped my wife off at the airport yesterday and the traffic going home was terrible so I pulled off the highway in queens and stopped at Royal collectibles. They had dollar boxes on the sidewalk and more inside , so I picked these up- I remembered Crimebuster podcast about it and figured the book was so bad it was good. Had to buy a few more. check it out: classiccomics.org/thread/7049/richard-dragon-kung-fighter-metarog

Went to a flea market last Sunday and picked up a few dollar books, but this (also a dollar) won the day... I didn't realize these were digest size, not to mention had some color inside (though this may have changed over the years). One dealer also had this table, about 48" diameter, which I'll assume was made from reprints...

Antique fair purchase. Not a lot of stuff that catches my eye there but this one table had Disney comics for $5.00 and this one stood out to me. Walt Disney's Comics & Stories #135. Great Barks cover. Also the first appearance of Scrooge's Money Bin.
