Full set of Vicki 1-4. Anyone want to fathom a guess why these books never end up in quarter-bins with other books by Atlas? I also have multiples of a couple issues coming in (#2 seems to be the hardest to find even though they say #4 is the scarcest).
Because Tippi Teen's evil Atlas doppelganger don't take no quarter-bin $h!^ from nobody?
Yes, I'm still needing #2 and #4... predictably.

Won an auction for a complete set of all 4 volumes of the All Star Companion for $90. They showed up today and look to be unread and in beautiful like new condition, I'm thrilled to finally have these! You'll find a familiar name in the credits of volumes 2-4. This was one of, if not the first big project where our own Cei-U! worked closely with Roy Thomas. Yup, this was the gig that started it all. I'm especially proud of the "Capsule History of Earth-Two" section in Vol. 3 (or is it 4?).
Cei-U! I summon my (not so) secret origin!

That’s a lot of great reading material.
And you got “Where Were You The Night Batman Was Killed?” in the Strange Deaths of Batman collection!
Despite how many times I’ve read it, I feel like digging it out and reading it again!

Yeah, that Batman collection may head to the top of the reading order, I don't know how I missed that one in the past!

Part of a 120+ bronze-age Archie haul from 3 sources...of which maybe 10% are dupes of what I already own and 95% in the vicinity of VF or better. Buying these in large stashes works out much better than smaller lots of 5-10 each, these books pictured clocked in at about 70c each.

Dang it, man... all your recent posts indicate that you may not have won the Powerball, but you dang sure won a scratch-off lottery game!

The last of my recent purchases showed up today, these were kind of "odds and ends". The All-Winners collection has a nice little bonus with a Blonde Phantom story at the end. It's really charming, they should do a collection of her classic material. Back to a lazy weekend of good reading! Dang it, man... all your recent posts indicate that you may not have won the Powerball, but you dang sure won a scratch-off lottery game! Haha...I stopped buying guitars, it freed up a few dollars for comics!

I took off work today to extend my recovery from my marathon gigs for the Tennessee Renaissance Festival, and my postal carrier brought this--
Not a "Classic" comic when judged by publication date, but certainly a "Classic" comic in terms of the homage cover (both issues are the same inside, the one on the left is a limited-print cover), the writing style, and the general throwback feel.
Crimebuster does a great job with these-- all original material, and you can definitely tell that it's a real labor of love for him. I'm definitely onboard for as long as he wants to create this series.
