good stuff in there! I love the Monica Rambeau lead Avengers, and of course Doom 2099 is great. Those X-Men books are right in the middle of their peak, too. I'm the same with Monica! She's a huge favorite of mine overall and loved her as the leader. And yeah, Doom 2099 is such a great series, I hopped on around the Ellis period and have all of those, but trying to finally fill in some of the earlier issues I missed and actually complete reading the whole run.

Ordered on July 27, invoiced and paid on August 1st and 5th respectively, sent on August 20 via USPS + Correos and received on September 5. Mile High (6th back-issue order):
Have you ordered 'lower grade' books from Mile High and received the intentionally upgraded books that he talks about in his newsletters?
Eg, ordering a VG and getting a higher grade book at no extra cost?
With such a large inventory as they have, it varies greatly from title to title and also depends on era. I've noticed in the past they under-graded some comics, even before Chuck ever said anything about it, just as Lone Star does, BTW. Recently they seem to have propped this practice up, as a sales point, but it's nothing new. Maybe reinforced.

I thought most of his stock was priced as though it was in nicer condition than the stated grade.

Probably most, but it comes down to: do I have more copies of this issues than what I really want? For example, in my last purchase, the most desirable comic was 151. Obviously they don't feel as if they have too many of that one, because I bought a VG copy, and I didn't get even a VG+. Looking at their Internet store, you can notice they don't have a copy above FN, so obviously they don't have much room for downgrading in that particular issue. For reference, I've gotten VFN/NM copies for not so looked after issues, that were sold as VG too.

My lcs was celebrating their 17th anniversary today, and I was there picking up my stuff, but I also had a store credit due to a discount snafu the last time I was there (they forgot to ring the new D&D PHB on my account so my discount didn't come off and I didn't notice until I was home, so they made it up with a store credit today, which I was cool with). So I used the store credit to grab a Silver Age Archie red dress cover to add to my collection-I hadn't added a red dress cover in a while... -M

I agree. Dark Horse did good with this line.

Brilliant find, @hots. Is that 1977 annual the one with the Doc Savage team-up? Those British annuals always seemed to reprint the best stories.

Yep, I like the pre-1981 Annuals the best....

I did like how some would have crosswords and other puzzles in. Or even features. One Spidey annual had an episode guide for the live-action series.

That is a hilarious cover! Are the little triangles torches? Kryptonite on a stick? I very much want to read that!
