I was just wondering if anyone had seen the Legion of Super-Heroes animated movie and if so, how was it? I saw the trailer, and it looked pretty good, though for some reason they had to throw the Justice League in there. Probably to increase the appeal.

Uh never mind. I saw that it had 113 review on Amazon Prime Video, so I assumed that it had been released, but it looks like it's not out yet (Feb. 7, 2023), so I don't know what those 113 people were reviewing.

Got the Blu-ray preordered, the trailer looked pretty interesting. Fingers crossed it ends up being good!

Uh never mind. Probably just reviewing the trailer.......or got it confused with the previous tv series. |

Now that it's out, anybody seen this movie yet? It looks like the focus is on Supergirl, and I'm a big Legion fan, so I'm wondering how good this is.

Now that it's out, anybody seen this movie yet? It looks like the focus is on Supergirl, and I'm a big Legion fan, so I'm wondering how good this is. I did see it, I got the Bluray on release date. Truthfully, I absolutely hated it. The characters were nothing like themselves, the premise that Supergirl was having "problems" adjusting to Earth life was really forced, and then it was all a set up for "Supergirl High School" in the future with the Legion Academy. It's all flat teen stereotypes, all of a sudden characters like Mon-El are in the Academy, and Dawnstar sounds like an airhead. And Brainiac 5...for some reason he looks like handsome Squidward (if you know the reference) and is considered "suspicious" by many. It's really, really weird. I couldn't make it past a half hour, I turned it off. I have no issues with them making some creative changes, I absolutely adore the Superman and Legion of Super-Heroes animated series for instance. But this...this was too weird for me. YMMV though for sure, maybe it got better, but I just couldn't hang with it. |
