We all know the story, I’m sure: Batman and Robin race to stop Mr Freeze, who has kidnapped Batgirl, intending to use her as an organ donor for his wife who is in suspended animation due to terminal illness.
Coming a year after Arnie’s Freeze, with his bad puns, it was nice to see this. I thought this was pretty dark - possibly the darkest DC cartoon I’d seen at that point in my life - and I think it works on so many levels.
I had the VHS, but I don’t appear to have it on DVD. I should rectify that.
