Shopping for glassware and protective gear that I can use to mix up a concentrated lye solution and finally understanding why I always get carded at Home Depot. I'm definitely on some kind of DEA watchlist by now.

Watching a Football game on Television - Seahawks vs the Steelers. Steelers threatening to score to make it 10-7. Bad Year for the Hawks and I'm disappointed in them this year.

Just came back from my younger kid's hockey game. They played a solid match, and the other team (which was admittedly better) was on the defensive most of the time. Unfortunately, those little creeps kept hitting our goaltender with the clear goal of injuring him -one of them was even thrown out of the ice for the rest of the game- which allowed them to even the score 1-1 five minutes before the end.
A moral victory is better than no victory at all, I guess, but I'd have loved the final score to reflect that!
Sorry about talking Canadian religion, folks.

Preparing for a long brutal week of work. Charging all my electronics and packing my work bag. About to put on a movie and start folding/hanging laundry

Getting ready to go back to work after a week off and see how much progress my students didn't make on their final projects that are due next Monday.

Have watched the first two Mighty Mouse (Super Mouse) cartoons. Interesting. At this point just a blatant Superman rip-off...even to his then blue and red costume.
Thus far these Terry-Tunes are not a patch on Warner Brothers or Disney. But interesting.

Just watched the 50th aaniversary special of It's a Charlie Brown Christmas and the special itself that we dvred earlier this week.
Kind of bittersweet experience, fond memories but also realizing how much has changed since I used to watch that every year as a youth.

I don't think cartoons are as special now as they were when we were kids. Back then Saturday morning was a magical time. And you were only going to see the Charlie Brown Christmas and the Rankin-Bass specials once a year. And if you missed them you were hosed. Now with DVD's, Streaming, and multiple cable channels carrying children's programming all-day every-day kids don't really know from being at the mercy of the TV schedule.

I capped off an especially productive week by spending all day playing with deadly chemicals in the studio. Now, video games.
