Only my 2nd Sunday off since last Summer. Going to spend it doing absolutely nothing but relax all day.
Right now I am watching iZombie.

Off to my date with my girlfriend who is cooking dinner for me and I'm taking her to her favorite dessert place later on ...

Prepping "slides" for a lesson on ancient commemorative art for one of my classes tomorrow. One good thing (the only good thing?) I can say about PowerPoint in the classroom is that it's a helluva lot easier to organize the images I want to talk about this way than by having to put together a slide carousel every night.

Drinking some Left Hand Brewery milk stouts. I like the flavor. But the texture seems to be where the name comes from. Feels just like milk in my mouth. Still good flavor but probably not something I'll buy again after this 6 pack.

About to head to the biggest annual book sale at the state fair grounds. Also eating those delicious peanut butter sandwich cookies we got from the Girl Scouts yesterday.

Well thanks to Foxley, I called up my dealer, we exchanged profanities (we really cuss each other like there's no tomorrow) and I got Batman Confidential 17-21 (just happened to be one full run of those 5 issues on hand). Got to love the tips you can get from this place

Catching up on Walking Dead before one of my students spoils it for me. I remember that kind of stuff come grade time.

Just finished sending out four resumes this afternoon. This way, I can take tomorrow off, read some comics, and hopefully put up at least one or two new reviews in my Captain America review thread (shameless plug!)

Making up for tonight's terrible episode of the X-Files by watching an old episode where Mulder draws a picture of a sasquatch with boobs.

Fixing to head to the stores to get some croissants and sausage breads for breakfast... which is odd since I do have bread and ham in the kitchen. But, ya know, variety is the spice of life.
Also haven't shaven in over a week so I look like Stannis after Blackwater.

Talked to a neighbor of mine this morning who works at the company I started at right after college (well, after my second degree); he and I worked together only briefly before I left to enter the natural gas industry. He overheard that I was on the market right now while I was talking with another neighbor (whose husband just got laid off two weeks ago, so we were commiserating), and he let me know that they are planning to do a massive hiring spree in the next few months and that if I was interested, there is a way for current employees to help outside candidates get considered for positions. As I already know a bunch of people who still work there and have a good idea of what the job would entail already, I'm going to take him up on the offer when they start posting their positions.

Good luck, Cap.
