In the company lunchroom eating chicken and nopales (cactus) with leftover sauces that I don't know the names of from our new favorite Indian restaurant, and enjoying the fact that my phone's web browser is working again. For three days I was getting "content blocked by operator" on everything. This is NOT a smartphone, it's a Samsung Flight II with a slide-out keyboard.

Just wrapped up an initial phone interview with a recruiter at a company I applied to on Monday. I know a number of people who work there from a previous position in my career, including the person who will make the decision about giving me any further interviews, so fingers crossed...

I just ordered the DVD box of 90s anime 'Vision of Escaflowne'. Though I've only recently discovered the show, it's become one of my all-time favs. Great animation, awesome soundtrack, fun characters, and a storyline that keeps me hooked.

Just saw a fox in my garden! Very cool! We know of at least one fox that lives in the woods behind our house, and while I have never seen her, my wife and daughters have, and they have heard her "vixen scream" during mating season. |

Ha! Foxes are so cool. I live in my mom's old summer house when she was a kid. Back then, during a tough winter, a fox regularly came roaming around the house to the point my kid mom was able to give it food and pet it. I'm quite hopefull I'll experience htat as the forest is getting thiner and the predators are getting scarcer, which is sad in the long haul, but makes for great interactions. 10 mn away from the house is an isolated lake where a couple of beaver families live. They are really fun to watch as well, but the forest around it, the trees, it's becoming a battlefield! No predators...

Getting more kid off the school, then it's a day for my wife and I to spend together. I took the day from work and we are going to do whatever till 3pm. Only plan is go to the Asian supermarket to get some things. I am going to try to get back into cooking. I use to make a lot of stir frys and curry dishes. I haven't done that in years.

Edit: About to eat some roasted duck on rice with pan fried squid appetizer. Yummy! :-)
