Just finished watching the champions league game Chelsea-Paris, very good one and good outcome. Now some dishwashing, and then some DJing...

Went to the doctor this morning in regard to some pain I was having in my left wrist that has been flaring up every time I lift weights. I was worried that it was broken or dislocated, and I just got the results of the x-rays and they showed neither of those outcomes. This is good in a sense, as it means I probably won't have to undergo surgery, but now the fun begins as they have to figure out what is causing the problem.

This is good in a sense, as it means I probably won't have to undergo surgery, but now the fun begins as they have to figure out what is causing the problem. Carpal Tunnel? When I do a lot of work and exercise, some of my joints flare up. It's possible, but my regular doctor pretty much ruled it out. It's on the back of the wrist, and it only happens when I flex my wrist a certain way, so he felt that carpal tunnel was unlikely. Also, I'm right-handed, so it would be more likely to be occurring in my right arm due to repetitive motion activities that I don't do with my left arm. I'll be making an appointment with a hand orthopedic specialist as soon as possible to get it figured out, as I don't want to have to take too much time off from the gym, and with spring right around the bend, I have a lot of yard work to do.

Hitting all of the websites for the major and mid-sized companies in town to look at job openings. It's been my Monday morning ritual since I became unemployed, as I like to start the week out with some optimism that I will not be out of work long.
This afternoon, I start prepping our first-floor powder room for painting. My wife has a small "honey do" list for me, and that is at the top of it. I don't mind doing it or anything else on the list, as she has been incredibly supporting of me in this current season of my life and she is giving me the time and space to make sure that I get into the right job next, not just into a job right now.
