With my girls starting back to school today, my days between 8:30 AM and 3:45 PM are wide open, so I just finished a Magic The Gathering online draft a few minutes ago.
Now I am going to continue watching my way through five seasons of the TV show "Chuck", which I started two days ago and am already 8 episodes into season 1. It was one of my wife and my "appointment" shows when it was on originally and we bought the DVDs, but this is the first time I've gone back and rewatched. This follows on the heels of watching the first three seasons of "Community", and will probably be followed by the first five seasons of "The X-Files".

Sitting in the emergency room at the local hospital, as I fell awkwardly this morning and tried to catch myself, only to have my left thumb bend sideways, leading to an audible "pop", followed by bruising, pain, and an inability to grasp anything with that hand.
So much fun! My life has no dull moments.

I fell once and broke my pinkie finger in my right hand and it's took 4-6 weeks to heal.

I fell once and broke my pinkie finger in my right hand and it's took 4-6 weeks to heal. Thanks. The worst part is that it's not broken, only severely sprained. If it were broken, I would pretty much know how long the healing process would take, but with a sprain, it can take much longer and any future damage can start the clock back to the beginning.

Watching the Incredible Hulk pilot with my son now. Not sure if he's underwhelmed or just giving it a chance before he says anything. I'm still wowed by the creative camera shooting to make Lou Ferrigno literally seen like a giant.

FINALLY finished packing for Dragon*con. . my suitcase/carryon both weigh a ton. . sheesh. but looking forward to a week w/ friends in Atlanta! Hope you have a great time, and can avoid the obligatory con plague that troubles everyone (I think I come home from every extended big con trip with some kind of cold-like symptoms). Hopefully you'll take lots of pics (at least safe for work ones) you can share here. -M

Staring at a great big ole box of back issue comics and magazines and a pile of rpg miniatures we just got home with, went to a shop run by a dealer I had only met at cons and traded in a bunch of stuff I had but no longer wanted for a big bunch of store credit which my wife bought minis with and I went to town with back issues on. We then stopped at an awesome Mediterranean style restaurant where I had schwarmma and hummuus and my wife had kebobs. Currently stuffed and eager to dig in to the pile of back issues-I';; post a list/pics in the What Have You Purchased thread later tonight once I organize it all.

Looking at the photos my son is making during his three month backpacking trip in Europe... Great!!! I really wish I could be there with him!
He started in the Azores and is now in mainland Portugal... next on the agenda: visiting friends in Spain, then France, Germany and all the way to Nordkapp!
Oh, to be young again...

Back from playing two matches, we both both - first match 9 to 4 and I scored a goal and assisted on two others; second match 11 to 7 and I scored 2 goals and assisted on one goal played the first half only on both matches. Our Record so far this year after 5 matches - 5 Wins and Zero losses. We have 45 matches to go.

finished all the shelving in the comic room, but need to find one more frame for a piece of art, then that room is done except for the final touches. Just cleaned off the spinner rack I got last week (from a card shop/stationary store, not a true comic spinner), and am going to let it set overnight, tomorrow I will continue on the office/studio room shelving and such, set up the spinner and hopefully be ready for final touches on that. Then its on to the game room in the basement, and once I get the fixtures out of the garage for there, I can clean up and reset the garage before the cold weather starts to set in. I've been slowly and surely trying to do the house reset all summer long when work schedule allowed, and am finally reaching the point where I can start checking things off as completely done (until the spring when we hope to get a contractor in here to do new windows, replank the porches, etc.). It never ends when you are a home owner...
