I also feel super hero movie fatigue is a factor. I've seen numerous places/people say that, but I think it's more of a disdain for lackluster movies Yeah. The problem is both Disney & WB are just repeating the same formula over and over. It leads to a feeling of just checking off boxes for each movie.

This is free on HBO now checking it out for the first time. Really like the family dynamic wish more Superhero movies explored that angle.

I'm sure I'm just getting old and crusty, but I have no interest in this what-so-ever. If people enjoy it, more power too'em. I remember the retro version of the character somewhat well and even have one of his comics somewhere, would have loved to seen that onscreen.
But unless Hollywood stops being Woke as crap and has a GoldenAge Hero kick again I doubt it. I sound like Debbie Downer. Sorry.

Yeah. The problem is both Disney & WB are just repeating the same formula over and over. It leads to a feeling of just checking off boxes for each movie. Exactly. Some of that is the price you pay for trying to have this competing side-by-side "wait til the end credits" universe with lackluster writers and shoebox directors. That combined with the fact that going to the cinema is like taking out a small car loan at this point. Not worth it for people.

Finally got around to watching this last night and - I mostly liked it. It's fun and, like Jesse noted, the family dynamic was rather endearing.
