So apparently driver1980 and codystarbuck are not the only wrestling fans that like comics.... tonight during AEW.. DC aired a TV commerical!! Granted it looked like a 12 year old made it with MS Paint, but it was still a TV commerical! I love it! |

Malibu spent a lot of money on a commercial(s), too.....
Call me cynical; but, I don't think the business it brings will pay for the commercial.

Here's an oldie, from 1981.....
and a previous DC one, from 1995....
Now see, if they had done variant commercials, and included trading cards or pogs with each one, they would have gotten more attention.

Valiant tried it, for their Nintendo comic reprint collections...
Yet no one has seen fit to have a prominent message in the films that you can find more adventures of these characters in your local comic shop, newsstand and bookstore.

yeah, not a great commerical when it doesn't tell you how to buy the thing you want for sure. Less of a factor today, but definitely for those earlier ones!
