Hard to believe this closes the door on a NINTH year here together at THE CCF. I'm so grateful to this community and its members, and thus I am so glad to be celebrating some of the many people and discussions that helped to make this place what it was in Year 9.
As always, a heartfelt congratulations to every member of this community, whether you won, were nominated, or just deserved to be. There were only ten awards to go around, but we all make this place what it is. Thank you!
Every year, I work hard to design these super cool banners so that you can flaunt them with pride. Most of you don't, but I love seeing those that do!

THE RESULTS
The Professor Xavier Award for Best Discussion Starter
"This guy is like the Jack Kirby of ideas when it comes to classic subjects. The Wearisome thread, Favorite Superman, Iron Man’s roller skates, The “problem” with Secret Wars. Man, this guy is prolific."
Favorite Classic Comic (non-review) Thread
"It was fun reliving those 70's books."
The Brother Power the Geek Award for Funniest Member
"For my money, Icctrombone has the most down to earth natural sense of humor. It's very off the cuff, and always fun, if you've ever been on a Zoom call with him you know what I mean! If George starts laughing and poking fun at something (and he's never mean-spirited), I dare you not to start laughing along, it's truly contagious."
Favorite Beyond The Back Issues Thread
"I truly love that this opportunity to hang with my fellow CCFers exists and that Icctrombone continuously makes the effort to keep it going!"
The Bruce "brutalis" Hinds Award for Friendliest Member
"Always just quietly friendly and reasonable."
Favorite Original Fiction or Art Piece
"Although announced just before the deadline the bulk of the work took place in the correct period so I'm thinking Crimebuster Quest definitely gets my vote."
The Uatu Award: Most knowledgeable Member
"From microbiology to Canadian weather patterns to classic movies to Conan to the cosmos itself, RR's understanding of a panoply of subjects is vast and comprehensive. No mere quoter of Wikipedia, he."
Favorite Review Thread
"Like the best review threads, it is comprehensive and detailed, but shax also offers a measured blend of passion and dispassion toward its subject that makes it stand out. He does have a dog (bat?) in this fight, and yet he does not let that color his frequent displeasure with the writing and editing of the series and stories he dissects. I love his ability to give us a close-up of each story and issue while simultaneously showing us their places in the larger context of the various series he reviews."
The Jasper Sitwell Award for Best New Member
"From his first post, he has felt like a longtime member of the Forum. He came prepared with a substantial collection of month-by-month Marvel reviews that has fueled a much-enjoyed and active thread and dived in deep, participating in the Forum Zoom meetings where his personality, sense of humor, well-founded opinions, knowledge of so many comics and creators, and spirit of good will and community-building have made him a tremendous pleasure to interact with."
The Captain Jim Zimmerman Award for Best Overall Member Who Most Exemplifies the Spirit of the CCF
"[His]whose review threads are unrivaled for their uniqueness. Western Team-ups; Jungle Gems or Junk; and the Golden Age Spectre come immediately to mind. Writing an excellent review thread is never easy, but the subjects mw has chosen are not exactly modern or mainstream, so the amount of research and digging he has to do is impressive. And his subjects are just the kinds of off-the-beaten-path topics that true comics aficionados love.
In addition, mw is unfailingly courteous, classy and welcoming to those who respond, add to, or ask questions in those threads.
He brings a rare combination of personalities to the forum: mw has an engineer's dedication to precision and rationality, but also an unabashed affection for this decidedly sloppy and illogical interest of ours."
A heartfelt congratulations to all of our winners, nominees, and participants. Thanks, EVERYONE, for a NINTH amazing year at the CCF. It only seems to keep getting better around here!
