This week was a great week. Superman. Nightwing. Titans. World's Finest. Incredible Hulk.... Superman and Nightwing were just outstanding. Great story with beautiful art. Titans took a cliched comic trope and switched it up to set up an interesting story. Nicola Scott art is gorgeous. World's Finest once again shows why it is the best title on the stands right now. Mora art was stunning. Incredible Hulk returns Hulk to the Immortal Hulk storyline. Not sure if this will be good or not with just one issue.

This is what comic hub tells me I have for this week: Avengers #2 (Perez variant) Batman/Superman World's Finest #16 Dead Romans #4 (of 6) Mighty Marvel Masterworks Captain America Vol. 2 Night Fever OGN by Brubaker/Phillips Scarlet Witch Annual #1 Tales of Asunda #1 Wasn't familiar with the publisher or the book, but this looked interesting to me, so I decided to add it to my pull Written by Sebastian A. Jones. Art by Julio Brilha. Cover by Caanan White. The first kill is always the hardest, especially when you are destined to save the world… or damn it. The Stranger has taught Niobe how to fight, but can she take a life? From the pages of The Untamed comes the first Tale in this anthology series about the world of Asunda. I haven't read The Untamed, but we'll see how it is. -M

Took me longer than I'd like to admit to figure out the gimmick in Nightwing, while fun I'm not sure doing it first person pov really did much for the story.

Titans has not one but two really compelling mysteries; the death of the Flash and just what is Brother Blood doing and I'm really excited to see both play out.

The Incredible Hulk #1Written by Phillip Kennedy Johnson Art by Nic Klein Summary: When a long sealed tomb in Iraq is broken open monsters are unleashed and they know the Hulk of old and seek him out. Plot: After a weird sci-fi pit stop in the last run Phillip Kennedy Johnson brings the book back to its roots in horror. And while Ewing's Immortal Hulk went for a big, almost biblical, horror take PKJ plumbs the vaults of Universal's monster movies that is grittier and more down to Earth than what has come before. There are three interesting plots in play here: the first of course is Banner's flight from the Hulk, while the two have often been at odds before this is the first time I can remember Banner actually fearing the Hulk and that change in the relationship adds an exciting new dimension and opens up so many questions. Secondly we have the creatures unleashed from the mystery tomb and their worship of the mother of monsters; who are they? What is their relationship to the Hulk? And lastly we have a young girl fleeing from her abusive father in a journey that parallels Banner's own which really begs the question of will that tie into her being even more like the Hulk? There's a lot here and I'm truly excited to see where it all goes. Art: Klein's art gives off some really 90's vibes in all the best ways with the larger than life muscles really fitting well with the Hulk and the various monsters in the book. On top of that the return of body horror in the transformation scenes was wickedly gross in all the best ways. Art:9/10

Titans has not one but two really compelling mysteries; the death of the Flash and just what is Brother Blood doing and I'm really excited to see both play out. Agreed! Especially that last page! There was a couple odd things though... why was Barbara playing Oracle? All the Titans know who she is,no? It was very odd. Also, the whole Dick putting Donna in charge instead of Kori... that may have made sense in the past, but not in the current continuity. They did have a scene where they talked about though, which just shows Taylor is the man . The first person thing was fun... I wouldn't say it particularly added anything, but it was a fun change of pace. The Office thing was fun too.

I've seen the Office mentioned a few times and I'm thinking I didn't watch as much as I thought because I didn't see the reference at all. What is it?

When they go into an office building and they show a bunch of people in cubicles at least a few are intended to be the case of the Office. (Not everyone, but a couple of them)
I read some of my Marvel stuff today.. It seems like maybe Avengers is permanently broken for me. I couldn't get into Aaron's time travel stuff.. and now there might be move of that with McKay. There is NO team interaction of character development at all.. just all action.
I have somewhat enjoyed All-Out Avengers/Avengers Beyond, but even there it feels like the writers have forgotten that what makes a team book good is the interaction of the team.
Maybe Tom Taylor can just right all the team books (though honestly I've only liked his Dick Grayson, so maybe that wouldn't help)
