This was surprisingly absent from the list. So funnybooks with covers showing Mushroom Clouds. THE RULES °Post one, and only one, classic cover that fits the theme of the contest. °Cover must be from a published comic book or collected volume published before August 2013. °Please include the title and issue number of your selection in bold in case some posters cannot see your image. °Covers must be posted before voting begins. Voting takes place on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 beginning at 12:01 am PST and ending at 11:59 pm PST. °Vote by posting the name of the poster whose cover best fits the theme or that you simply like the most in bold. °The winner of the contest is the entrant with the most votes after the voting period ends. °The winner picks the theme for next week's contest. °If you don't think a particular cover fits the theme, just don't vote for it. Please don't post disparaging remarks about it. °If a cover is more recent than the classic time frame (10 years, so August 2013), kindly point it out to the poster, who may then choose an alternate entry before voting begins. °Have fun! (Bah! Who am I to tell you what to do?) Post no bills Void where prohibited by law. Two posters may not share one cover. There is no warranty of suitability express or implied attaching to any cover. Weird Science #18

placeholder for Weird Science #18 I guess you can't see it, but the cover of WS #18 has already been posted, by Slam in his opening post.
Thanks for the heads-up. My VPN must have been blocking it. I can see it now-- back to the drawing board.

ps I'm pretty certain we did this theme before, maybe with different phrasing, for the theme. I recall that Atomic War cover, for a start.

It's OK though... Slam_Bradley may have had a long day in court and temporarily got his juris mixed up with his prudence.
Besides, he did use the keyword "funnybooks" to differentiate it from all the other contests, and that makes it legit in my book.

ps I'm pretty certain we did this theme before, maybe with different phrasing, for the theme. I recall that Atomic War cover, for a start. "Atomic - covers that include the word "Atomic"" was a topic. But I looked under both mushroom clouds and nuclear war and didn't see either. So here we are.
