I have twelve. I doubt that I'll change them unless I discover a really serious omission. I'll just address any non-serious omissions in my wrap-ups. Which you're getting whether you want them or not. (And why would you?) Wouldn't be a complete Classic Comic Christmas without your recaps! |

I’m not sure what the write ups would cover. Would you comment on how good the character you picked is ? I included who the character was, where they spun off from and a little bit about the run I actually picked featuring the character, why it was my favorite featuring that character, possibly a bit on the creators, since not all of them were the 1st series to spin off featuring that character or why I like the character itself. It varied a bit based on the entry with a little more if the character or series was more obscure since others might not know about it. My break down was 6 DC-ish, 2.5 Marvel, 3.5 Indy (how Marvel and Indy split one you'll have to wait and see. -M I feel confident I know the answer, as it appears on my list as well. |

I'm really intrigued to see what indy spin offs you guys have.... I really couldn't think of much on that score, other than stuff like TMNT one shots off the main book (things like that) which I ultimately discarded since it's really the main book I like.

I have a list of 30 but my problem is that, except for a few, I’m not in love with the characters. 2 of them I am including because of their importance in the comic world. |

It took some work to go through the Indy companies and figure out where people first appeared and went from there. I have some fun ones and a lot of spin-offs from the same comic. |

OK. Calling my list settled. I could have gone 10 different ways for #12.
Final count is 2 DC and 9.5 Marvel characters. I was hoping for a bit more balance, but the truth is I love Marvel.

Just had my first experience this year of thinking I had my list settled, only to remember a title I'd forgotten (as result of a discussion elsewhere on CCF) and having to decide what to bump. Ultimately I bumped a title I suspect will get a lot of love in favour of one that more flew beneath the radar.
If history is any guide, this will probably happen a couple of more times.

My list breaks down (at the moment) to 6 Marvel, 4 DC, and 2 Other. We'll see how long that lasts.
