^^^ Prince Hal Happy New Year to you too, my friend. Yeah, it still evokes emotions in me after all these years. Goes without saying that I loved reading your Legion entry.

I love how Farrar managed to violate my "two images per entry" rule without technically violating it. Well done, sir!
Cei-U! I summon the clever workaround!

(...) Then one cold day I opened Adventure #380 and read DC's announcement that with the next issue Supergirl would be taking over Adventure (and I still had more than a few issues to go on my subscription!). The Legion, with its mammoth cast of characters, would now be backing up the Superman feature in Action Comics. A piece of my heart died that day. I tried to get into the Legion's Action series but it was no use; as a back-up series the grandeur, the epic scope was gone. The Legion deserved better than being relegated to a few pages in the back of someone else's comic. (...) I know that feeling well: the announcement in a comic book that feels like someone pulling the rug out from under you. For me and a bunch of comics fans of a slightly younger vintage the equivalent was reading the announcement that John Byrne and Terry Austin were departing from the X-men (I similarly had a subscription that had only kicked in a few issues prior to that).
